Myrtle Elliott Royal, 90, of Owensboro died Monday, March 10, 2008, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born June 16, 1917, in Daviess County to the late William and Hettie (Hocker) Elliott. She retired from General Electric Co. and had been a member of Seven Hill Baptist Church for 67 years. She was a member of the Owensboro Hillbillies Camping Club and was a Kentucky Colonel. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Leamon D. Royal Sr., on April 30, 1998.
